Rosa Mercedes Urrutia, 81, of Dumas, died Saturday, December 25, 2021.
Services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Cross Church, 829 N. Dumas Av. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.
Rosa was born on May 5, 1940 in Santiago, Chile to Velasco Zuniga and Carmen Rodriguez Zuniga. She was a homemaker and had worked very hard to become a CNA. She had worked for several years at Great Plains Nursing and Rehab. She loved to crochet, artwork, and give out bible scriptures. She was a member of Templo Libertad.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Jose Urrutia.
She is survived by two daughters, Viviana Rojas of Amarillo, and Jackie Ramirez of Amarillo; three sons, Pedro Urrutia Jr. of Amarillo, Sergio Urrutia of Dumas, and Claudio Urrutia of Chile; a sister, Eliana Zuniga of Chile; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
