Rowdy Jon Votaw, 31, of Amarillo, Texas passed away January 28, 2024.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Rowdy was born June 15, 1992 in Amarillo, Texas to Dennis and Donna Votaw. He loved working in the restaurant industry and worked as a chef at Outback Steakhouse, Hoffbrau Steakhouse, and Public House. Rowdy was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan! He had many childhood friends that he continued to remain close to. Rowdy was a loving dad to Harper-she was his world!

Rowdy is survived by his daughter, Harper Votaw of Amarillo, TX; sisters, Misty Branson of Paducah, TX and Catrina Melton of Panhandle, TX; brothers, Ricky and Rusty Votaw both of Canyon, TX; 11 nieces and nephews, Alexia, Cody, Macalle, Chase, Casey, Cooper, Cameri, Cossner, Jhett, Jase, and Jax; and aunt, Susan Riley and family.

  1. Miss you so much Rowdy! You memory will be carried on by your friends and family. Harper will grow up knowing she had the best, most loving father a girl could ask for.

  2. Public House will certainly miss Rowdy!! He was a hard worker and loved coming up with new dishes for our wine dinners. He was very dependable and a pleasure to be around. His family is in our thoughts and prayers.

  4. This news breaks my heart. I remember him being such a sweet boy growing up. He was such a good friend to my daughter all through elementary school. Prayers for his family.
