Roy Lynn Harris, 70, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on May 26, 2023.

Services will be at 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Michael Carter officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Roy was born in Amarillo, Texas on January 31, 1953, to Ruby and Roy Lee Harris. He worked for Gicon Pumps and Equipment for over three decades and retired in 2020.

For over forty years, Roy dearly loved his wife, Beverly. She was his entire world.

Roy loved being a grandfather and attending his grandkids’ sporting events and activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Danny Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Harris; sons, Donny King and wife DeeDee, and Marcus Harris and wife Kristi; grandkids, Keller Harris, Baylor King, Jett Harris, Jagger Harris, Kenley King, and Rory Harris; siblings, Tuckie Eason, and Sid Harris and wife Sharon; sister-in-law, LaNell Harris; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viewing will be available from 10:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

  1. Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “ Jesus plainly told her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.

  2. Roy was one of my favorite people from Gicon. I would go help with inventory and it was never a dull moment. He was a great man and will be greatly missed.

  3. Fond memories with lots of laughs thrown in between, it was always a pleasure being around you!
