Ruby Jo Goodwin, went to be with her Lord on, April 8, 2022.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, with Ronald Woodward officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Ruby was born in Hardeman County to Bert and Maye Lamb on February 26, 1935. She graduated from Slaton High School and pursued a career in hair design.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Brantley; and her only sister, Bertie Mae Robinson.
After Bill Brantley’s death, Ruby remarried Don Goodwin in 1999.
Survivors include her husband, Don Goodwin; son, Steven Brantley of Celina, Texas; daughter, B.J. Jones of Lewisville, Texas; stepdaughter, Amy Couser of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Zachary Jones of Joshua, TX, Breeann Brantley Hemingway of McKinney, TX, Blake Jones of Owensville, MO, Colt Brantley of Celina, TX, Kelsie Jones of Flower Mound, TX; two step-grandchildren; and one great-grandson Jaxston (Jones) Boyd.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
