Samuel Garza Ramirez, 58, of Amarillo, died, March 25, 2022.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Rev. Emmanuel Burgos of St. Matthews Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Samuel was born in Ft. Stockton, Texas on October 4, 1963, to Ysabel “Chavel” and Victoria Ramirez.

On June 17, 1983, Samuel married the love of his life Joyce Villalva, in Ft. Stockton, Texas.

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David, and Salvador Ramirez.

Survivors include his wife Joyce Ramirez, of the home; daughters, Heather Bastardo and spouse David, Hillary Chavez and spouse Emmanuel, all of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Armando Ramirez and spouse David Cohen, of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Ernestina Ramirez, of Corsicana, Texas, and Patricia Ramirez, of Robert Lee, Texas; four grandchildren, Eleeyah Chavez, Samantha Ramirez, Joshua Ramirez, and Sofia Bastardo.

The family will receive friends at 6:00 P.M., Monday, March 28, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

He was a great cook and will remember all the wonderful meals and skillet bread we made outside moms house. He took the time to call and visit with his “Tia Emma” and he brought her so much joy. We cannot imagine him not being by your side or being the life of the party at all family events. We are so glad to have known him and have shared his hilarious events. Oh that man could make you laugh until you hurt. RIP Sammy, we will never, never forget you.
