Sara Dawn Porch, 45, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on August 21, 2023.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 25, 2023, at Bolton Street Baptist Church with Danny Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.
Sara was born in Fort Polk, Louisiana on December 19, 1977, to John Fleetwood Pierson, III and Tammy Louise Pierson. Sara married Richard Porch on February 29, 2012, in Amarillo, Texas.
Sara enjoyed watching the movie Wild Horses Can’t Be Broken, and the television series Little House on the Prairie. She also enjoyed coloring and going to Wonderland Amusement Park. Sara loved collecting teddy bears and snow globes. She had a teddy bear for every holiday.
Sara was proud of her son Brandon and his graduation from high school. She proudly hung his diploma and various other achievements in her home.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kali Jade Pierson; mother, Tammy Louise Pierson; and father, John Fleetwood Pierson, III.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Porch; son, Brandon Dowd; sisters, Rachel and Daniel, and Jessica and Don; nieces, Hannah, Jade, and MaKenzie; stepfather, Harold Hoyt Pierson Jr.; and aunt, Connie Pierson Muise and husband Richard.

I’ve known Sara for almost 20 years. Sara was more then just a friend she was like a sister to me!! If Sara liked you she loved you and if not you wasn’t around her. She was always full of life fun and outgoing and had a smile that would light up the darkest of days. Sara Dawn Porch you was an amazing woman with a beautiful heart and soul and you will be truly missed by all. If we don’t get to go to Amarillo to say our goodbyes to you then I can only hope someone in your family will see this and share it with everyone else!! I will always love you as a little sister and I’ll never forget our friendship this isn’t goodbye but until we meet again !!
