Sean Stephen Philpot, 18, of Amarillo, TX died Thursday, August 10, 2023.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at John Stiff Park.
Sean was born June 2, 2005, in Amarillo, TX to Stephen and Amy Philpot. He attended Randall High School and Milburn School.
Sean worked in the produce section of United Supermarket. He loved to skateboard, play Xbox, talk on the phone, work, and ride his motorcycle, and loved cars.
Survivors include his parents, Stephen and Amy Philpot, of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Kaitlyn Philpot and significant other, Matthew Coat, of Amarillo, TX; grandparents, Steve and Belinda Philpot, of Amarillo, TX, Walter and Alicia Morris, of Amarillo, TX, and JoAnne Haley; and great-grandparents, Walter and Kay Morris.
I’m so sorry for your loss, it weighs heavy on my heart, I was there and saw it when it happened and my heart broke in that instant. I pray for peace and healing for the loved ones.
I worked with Belinda and she was absolutely over the moon about her family! She was a proud grandmother and talked about Sean all the time. It’s been a couple of years since I spoke with her, but my heart dropped when I heard the tragic news. I know how much she loved her family and how close they were. I pray for the parents of Sean, I cannot imagine the pain they must feel. Be strong and know that you are in my prayers. This works is filled with pain and heartache. Rest easy sweet Angel ♥️
