Sheila Beth Purcell, 56, of Amarillo, TX died Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 11, 2021, at Amarillo Deaf Church, 3817 Holiday, Amarillo with Darrell Bonjour officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Sheila was born May 9, 1965, in Amarillo, TX to Don and Judy Allen.  For several years she worked at Amarillo Hardware and then at Jan Werner.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and a brother, Jimmy McIntosh.

Survivors include her husband, David Purcell, of Amarillo, TX; two sons, Montana Brumback and wife Whitney and Aaron Brumback and wife Raemie, all of Amarillo; four sisters, Amy Allen, and Angie Graves and husband Anthony, all of Amarillo, Shannon Morton and husband Ed of Canyon, TX, and Beck Britt and husband Terry of Dallas, TX; her father Don “Duck” Allen and wife Nancy, of Amarillo, TX; and six grandchildren, Kiara, Brody, Anthony, Paisley, Raelee, and Hunter.

  1. What a blessing it was to have you in my life while I was at Jan Werner ,..always sharing love. Now I’m down near Austin and was so shocked to hear of your passing! But I know that you’re with Jesus! Love all of you that Shelia left behind. She was precious.

  3. Sheshe you have always been my real life hero and this has really hurt my heart to lose you . I know my life will have a big void in it. You was not only my sister you was my friend..Fly high and kiss our family thats there.

  5. Sheila was the sweetest, kindest GOD loving person I have come to know! I will miss our daily talks and her contagious laugh!! Prayers to her family that I have come to know through Sheila’s stories. To the family I can say she loved each one of you so very much. RIP Sheila!! I will see you shortly my sweet friend!!
