Shirley Hendricks, 79, of Amarillo, TX passed away December 7, 2023.
Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Shirley was born December 19, 1943 in Muskogee, OK to Everett and Sara Hendricks. She was employed as an elementary school teacher by Dalhart ISD for 33 years. Shirley loved all of the children she taught. She moved to Amarillo, TX in 2008 to help care for her mother due to her failing heath, also caring for her sister. Shirley enjoyed spending her free time with her dogs and tending to her many plants and flowers.
Shirley loved her God and spent many hours worshiping him and helping to spread His word.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to South Lawn Baptist Church of Amarillo.
