Sister Pauline Brorman
Sister Pauline Brorman, 92, of Wolfforth, TX a beloved joy-filled member of the Franciscan Mission Sisters, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022.
Rosary service will be at 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Vega, Texas. Franciscan Wake Service will be at 4:30 P.M., Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Our Lady of the Angels Convent in Wolfforth, TX. Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hereford, TX. Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Hereford, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX.
Pauline Marie Brorman was born March 18, 1930, in Hereford, TX to Henry Brorman and Anna Wiedenhaus and grew up as a member of St. Anthony’s Parish in Hereford and a student of their Catholic school. She entered Religious Life in Santa Fe, New Mexico on January 30, 1948. She received a BA in Education from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio and a number of certificates in Religious Studies. Her ministry as a Sister was mostly in Catholic Schools, as teacher and/or principal, in Amarillo, Hereford, Plainview and Long Beach. After retiring from Catholic Schools, she served in Parish ministry where she was instrumental in helping both youth and adults grow in their Catholic faith.
Sr. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anne Brorman and her stepmother Caroline Brorman; and her siblings, Joe Brorman, James Brorman, Harry Brorman, Annie Hebert, and Louise Spinhirne.
Pauline is survived by a loving brother and sister, Alphonse Brorman and Delores Frerich.
As a member of St. Francis Mission Community, Pauline was a source of creativity and joy. She would always come up with an unexpected humorous production to present to us at our special celebrations. She will be remembered for the smiles she put on our faces and the excitement for learning she gave to her children in her classroom. She loved being a teacher and it showed in her students who loved being in her classroom.
We are grateful for her life, her giftedness and all she shared with her Family, Religious Community and God’s people.
