Susan Jane (Crismon) Adams
Susan Jane (Crismon) Adams, 85, of Amarillo, TX passed away on March 15, 2022.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 18, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at West Park Cemetery in Hereford, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Susan was born on July 8, 1936, in Oklahoma City, OK to William and Donnie (Rushing) Crismon. Her claim to fame was that she was the only sibling to be born in a hospital! She graduated high school from Seminole, TX; received her bachelor’s degree in teaching from Abilene Christian College, and her master’s degree from West Texas State University in 1967. Her teaching career lasted 39 years with 35 of those years teaching mainly first grade at Northwest Elementary in Hereford, TX. She was known to referee the teacher vs student’s volleyball games where the students always won!! She was passionate about teaching, summer vacations, and her granddaughters! Susan was a devout Christian and loved serving the Lord and was a member of the South Georgia Church of Christ family.
Susan is survived by children, Terri and Bennett Loy, Katrina Adams, and Loree Adams; and granddaughters, Sierra Adams, and Allegra Loy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob T Adams; parents, William and Donnie Crismon; sisters, Jean Wascher, and Joanne Bebe; and one mischievous brother, Bud Crismon.
