
Tammye Thompson, 64, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, September 12, 2022.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Tammye was born February 16, 1958, in Amarillo, TX to Harley and Lawana Sallee. She graduated from Canyon High School.
For nineteen years, she worked for Kids, Inc., operating the sportsplex. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her Boxers, Tammye helped out with several animal rescue programs.
Survivors include her fiancé, Jon Eason, of Amarillo, TX; two sons, Scott Thompson and wife Carrie of Fort Worth, TX, and Todd Thompson, of Amarillo, TX; her father, Harley Sallee, of Amarillo, TX; and granddaughter, Caroline Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations are made to Gracie’s Project, PO Box 2512 Amarillo, Tx 79105.
I haven’t seen her since High School, such a sweet cute girl. I’m sure she shines still.
I already miss sharing this world with you. I love you, my sweet friend.
Tammye was a Wonderful caring person.
During the time I’ve known her , she always did things to benefit others. She was down to earth , spoke the truth and treated everyone equally. I will miss our phone conversations.

Tammye you were such a joy to work rescue with. Thank you for your love of animals and your hard work in saving them. We could all learn a lesson from you and your heart for those who couldn’t speak for themselves. You will be missed greatly.
