Teresa L. Morales, 68, of Dumas, died Sunday, January 5, 2020.  A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia officiating.  Burial will be at the Dumas Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.

Teresa was born on March 9, 1951 in Loving, New Mexico to Ygnacio and Leonor Lopez.  She had worked as a CNA.  She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved playing Bingo and roasting chile.

She married Jose S. Morales on June 13, 1975.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Vivian D. Lopez.

She is survived by her husband, Jose S. Morales of Dumas; three daughters, Elisema Lopez and Marco Claire, Lus Morales and Gabriel Castillo, and Victoria Morales, all of Dumas; four sisters, Natalia Bautista and Margaret Onsurez and husband Raul, both of Loving, New Mexico, Sylvia Urban and husband Jim of Abilene, and Maxie Lopez and husband Robert of Loving, New Mexico; three brothers, Eusebio Lopez and wife Rosa of Loving, New Mexico, Ramon Lopez and wife Cuca of Loving, New Mexico, and Ygnacio Lopez Jr. and wife Joann of Rocky Ford, Colorado; four grandchildren, Lyla M. Castillo, Lilian M. Castillo, Suki Y. Lopez, and Noel Claire; and her beloved dog, Babies.

  1. Heart felt condolences . I had the please to work with Teresa when I first started out as a CNA. She was such a sweet loving woman and she will be missed.
