Thomas Gerard Chavez, 59, of Amarillo, TX passed away Friday, May 5, 2023.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Llano Cemetery.
Thomas was born June 27, 1963, in Amarillo, TX to Balbino and Della Chavez. Thomas worked his whole life as a cook and made the best breakfast burritos ever! He also cut meat and was a business owner. Thomas was the best dad and step-dad ever.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ginger Chavez.
Survivors included his daughter, Andrea Chavez; grandchildren, Jaxson and Jayden Travis; stepdaughter, Sheryl Buckner, and husband Jimmy; step-grandchildren, Stevie and Jimmy Jr. Buckner, and Scot Cates; siblings, Carlos Chavez and wife Debbie, Daniel Chavez and wife Josie, Carolyn Alonzo and husband Joe, Ralph Chavez and wife Janeld, Patrick Chavez and wife Angie, Michael Chavez, and Raymond Chavez and wife Diana; nieces and nephews, Feliz, Carmen, Kimberly, Connie, Daniel Jr., Janice, Julie, Mandy, Nathan, Alexandra, Rudy, Sabrina, Jamie Leigh, Derek, Mikaela, Anthony, Paul, Lauren, Marissa, and Miranda; step-great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Breklyn, and Samson; close friends Tracy Jasso and children, Jazzlynn and Garcia, Everett Smiley.
