
Vincent Felix Rivera Castro, 62, of Amarillo, TX passed away April 20, 2023.
No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Vincent was born March 6, 1961 in Tamuning, Guam to Vincent Cruz Castro and Soledad Rivera. He is a graduate from Milpitas High School, and he played football for Milpitas High School Football Team during his freshman and sophomore years. Vincent joined the United States Army shortly after graduating from high school and served as a Unit Supply Specialist. He was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany as well as Fort Sill, OK. He later was stationed in Fort Ord, CA. While in the Army, he earned a Good Conduct Medal along with various ribbons such as a Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon. He also attended and graduated from a Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC). After leaving the Army, Vincent worked for a Construction Firm in Silicon Valley, CA. Vincent decided to move to Guam to be closer to his parents and worked in the construction field while he was on the Island. Vincent made a career change, choosing to be a SEMI Truck Driver. He worked for Swift Corporation and other various truck companies before becoming an Owner Operator. He later worked for the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs located in Palo Alto, CA. Vincent was a member of the Catholic Church wherever he lived.
Vincent Felix Rivera Castro was preceded in death by his father Vicente (Big Ben) Cruz (Familian Siket); and his mother Soledad (Dading) Rivera Castro (Familian Gotgohu and Pelele).
He is survived by his two daughters Rosalyn Mauricio and Nicole Castro; and seven sisters and brother-in-laws Rosalyn Moreno (Fred) of Hollister, CA, Isabel Atoigue (Greg) of San Leandro, CA, Lucille Cox (Tom) of Lancaster, CA, Catherine Gresl of San Antonio, TX, Barbara (Paul) of Round Rock, TX, Valentina (Dale) of Sahuarita, AZ, and Evelyn (Jared) of Blanchard, OK; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will be greatly missed. Always loved and never forgotten.

I always thought of you as my brother, you and I looked at life in the same way, treat others the way we would like to be treated, always willing to help anyone at any time without expecting anything in return, we took pride in doing the best we can and we appreciated and were always grateful for all the blessings in our life.
