Viola Bichsel Renegar
Viola Bichsel Renegar, 99, of Amarillo, TX passed away January 26, 2024.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 2, 2024 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 Washington. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Viola was born May 29, 1924 in Potter County, TX to John and Eleanor Drerup Bichsel. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1942 and attended West Texas State University. Viola married Ray Renegar on April 12, 1947, and together had two daughters, Sharon and Carol. She was a business owner, bookkeeper, scout leader, and homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray; daughter, Carol; sisters, Marjorie and Imogene; and four brothers, Floyd, Milton, JL, and Marvin.
Viola is survived by daughter, Sharon Carter and husband Lesly; grandchildren, Justin Carter, Christie Rudesal, and Michael Rudesal; and loving nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed by all of us.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests per Viola’s wish that a donation be made in memory of Viola Bichsel Renegar to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 815 Market St., Galveston, TX 77550-9969.
