Virginia Pena Ysaguirre, 88, of Amarillo, TX, died Friday, December 15, 2023.
Visitation will be from 5-6:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Salvation Army Chapel with Major Tex Ellis and Carl Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Virginia was born May 21, 1935, in George West, TX to Angel and Vernal Pena. She had lived in Amarillo for more than 65 years and worked as a housekeeper at Holiday Inn for 42 years.
She loved to be around children, spend time outdoors, and paint.
Survivors include her children, Rosalinda Jimenez and husband Arthur, of Ft. Worth, TX, Ofelia Moreno and husband Joe, Jean Hughes, Gloria Silva and fiancé Chris Carpenter, Oliver Ysaguirre, Manuel Ysaguirre, Sabe Ysaguirre and wife Sonia, and Christopher Ysaguirre, all of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Juana Pena Perez of Plainview, TX; brother Pete Pena, of Plainview, TX; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
