Wayne Moreno, 61, of Amarillo, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in Bismarck, North Dakota.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 23, 2021.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Wayne was born on January 13, 1960 in Rosenberg, Texas to Robert and Mary Moreno.  He had attended Lamar Consolidated in Rosenberg.  He had worked in construction as a rigger for many years.  He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros.

He married Rene Rodriguez on July 16, 2016 in South Padre.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Moreno Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Rene Moreno of Amarillo; three daughters, Brandy Moreno of California, Ashley Moreno of Richmond, Tx., and Oliva Martinez of Pearland; two sons, Taylor Moreno of Boston and Christian Moreno of Houston; his mother, Mary Moreno of Richmond, Tx.; two brothers, Robert Moreno Jr. of Mineral Wells and Alan Moreno of Richmond, Tx.; and four grandchildren, Jordan, Gianna, Austin, and Catalina.

  1. My prayers are with the Moreno family I am sorry for your loss! Wayne and I grew up together. He was my neighbor and we had some great times together! My memories of Wayne were we had many of laughs….we are always playing football and baseball as kids in our neighborhood! May he Rest In Peace.
