Willa Dean McAnally, 90, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on April 3, 2023.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. McAnally was born in Amarillo, Texas to Mary and TJ Hollis on December 22, 1932. She attended Amarillo public schools and graduated from Amarillo High School. Most of her work was in the dry-cleaning industry starting with Doche Company downtown. She retired from “The Cleaners” located at Western and Hillside. She spent her retirement with her husband Pete traveling the country as full-time RV’rs with their home base in Conway, Arkansas. Mrs. McAnally loved family gatherings and attending church as often as possible on the road and at home. She cherished the friendships made on their travels as they were long-lasting.

Mrs. McAnally was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Amarillo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Thurman Hollis; siblings, Charles Hollis, Pat White, and Lola Lester; husband, Pete McAnally; children, Leonard Tow; and grandchildren, Bruce and Dean Tow.

Survivors include her children, Lois Winn, of Cabot, Arkansas, and Gary McAnally, of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Trey McAnally, of Amarillo, Texas, Kimberly McAnally, of Katy, Texas, James Winn, US Army Retired, Bobby Winn, of Cabot, Arkansas, Christa Rolo, Leon Tow, and Michelle Tow; and numerous great-grandchildren.

  1. My Sweet Aunt Willy ❤ is one of the best relatives that I have . She is now with Jesus and my Uncle Pete. HUGS and KISSES AUNT WILLY!!!!

  2. My heart is sad . Aunt Willy is one of finest ladies (and family) that I know . I just wish that I had made the point to visit her . Hugs and Kisses to one of my favorite family member .

  3. We just learned today (April 8th) that Willa Dean had passed away. I prayed for her often and wished I could have gone to see her more. My sister, Dorothy, knew her in the church on Amarillo Blvd. Then I was glad when she started attending Pleasant Valley Assembly of God. Because of her great love for the Lord, we know where she is. She has already seen her loved ones, but most of all, she is with Jesus.

  5. Willa Dean was a longtime neighbor and friend. So sorry to hear of her passing but praising God for her life and her influence in my life. She was a beautiful Christian lady. I know she is with her Heavenly Father now and singing his praises.
