William “Bill” Lewis Heien
William “Bill” Lewis Heien, 89, of Amarillo, TX passed away on January 9, 2023.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Bill was born in Mountain Park, OK on December 16, 1933, to Merwyn and John Heien. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1952. He served in the United States Navy.
Bill married Jerolyn Cummings in Quanah, TX on November 26, 1960.
Bill was an accountant for Atmos Energy and retired in 1990. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Bill was a kid at heart who loved any and every adventure he could take in his life. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. If he couldn’t be hunting, he would be doing hard work to make his wife happy. Bill was a man who loved his wife, cherished his daughter and adored his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his two sisters, Bonnie Messick, and Dixie McCaleb.
He is survived by his wife, Jerolyn Heien, of the home; daughter, Cindy Gee and husband Billy, of Princeton, TX; grandson, Tristan Gee; and granddaughter, Presley Gee.
