William “Bill” Roy Dobbe, 74, of Amarillo, TX passed away
January 28,2024.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount with Jordon Melugin as officiant. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Bill was born August 23, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to Roy and Dorothy Dobbe. He married Janice Jacques on May 26, 1973. Bill worked in the food industry his entire career, working for 25 years as the District Manager for Taco Villa until his retirement. Bill was a huge Notre Dame Football fan, as well as an avid golfer. After retirement, he played regularly with ‘the old guys.’ Bill is affectionately known as Dobe, Pop, Bigsby, and his most cherished name Pops by his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife Janice Dobbe of Amarillo, TX; daughter Katie Boicourt and husband Tyler of Amarillo, TX; son Ryan Dobbe of Amarillo, TX; brothers Chris Dobbe and wife Patti of Fairfield Bay, AR and Dan Dobbe and wife Cathy of Sache, TX; 2 grandchildren, Emma and Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life at the Dobbe house following the service at 6203 Elmhurst.
