William “Will” Anthony Gray, 22, of Wildorado, Texas passed away on April 30, 2023.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 4, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, Texas.

Will was born in St. Peters, Missouri on October 5, 2000, to Tina Essick. He graduated from Vega High School in 2019. Will was a gamer and he enjoyed spending time playing video games. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. Will worked for the Rogers Group. He loved music and all animals, especially his dog, Izzy. Will had a very special bond with his speech therapist, Syndi Hart and loved his moms besties, especially his surrogate mom, Casey Olguin.

He is survived by his mother, Tina Kim Essick, of Wildorado, Texas; grandparents, Joseph and Kim Essick, of Wildorado, Texas; and aunt, Christina Essick, of Wildorado, Texas.

  1. William was a sweet and loving young man. I am so sorry for your loss. I was his first grade teacher. He was always full of fun and loved to help others. He will certainly be missed. I’m so sad that I wasn’t able to come to his services or to give Tina a hug. Please know that you are in my prayers.

  3. William was such a nice unassuming young man. He was always so polite and sweet when he went to grade school in Wildorado. I know he will be missed.
