Why Should I Plan Ahead?

Not everyone likes to plan ahead, but pre-planning your funeral arrangements not only gives you peace of mind about your final wishes being honored, but it alleviates some of the stress and burden your loved ones are going through as they experience the grief associated with the loss.

The staff of
Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors  is happy to assist you with your funeral pre-needs by helping you make decisions about your funeral service in advance and guide you in helping eliminate some of the unnecessary stress brought on by a loved one’s death.

BENEFITS OF PRE-PLANNING

Planning Ahead Lets Your Wishes Be Known

The death of a loved one often brings stress and sometimes turmoil among family members when they are uncertain of the desires of the deceased.  By planning ahead and recording your wishes, you provide comfort to your family as they recognize that you have freed them from trying to decide what you would have wanted.  Your family can easier move through the process when your wishes are recorded.

Planning Ahead Offers Flexible Funding Options

A Boxwell Brothers Trust-Funded contract offers the security of knowing your funds are held locally and those funds are protected.  Pricing is locked in at today’s pricing so your investment in your Boxwell Brothers pre-need won’t increase when costs rise.  We are flexible on payments offering monthly, quarterly, or annual payments with your Boxwell Brothers Trust Funded Pre-Need Contract.  Oftentimes we will honor a pre-need from another funeral home, and life insurance assignments.

Common Questions about Pre-planning

  • What information do I need to pre-arrange a funeral?

You'll need basic information about yourself or the person you are planning for, such as date of birth, marital status, parent's full names, etc.  Besides the biological information, you'll need to choose burial or cremation, what type of service you'd like, what cemetery to use, etc.  Our caring staff will help you with this process.

  • Do I have to pay in advance?

Not always.  If you plan to use life insurance, a competitor’s pre-need contract, or burial insurance, contact our office for an appointment for review and options.  Oftentimes we can honor other funeral home pre-need policy.  Many families do choose to pre-fund their funeral arrangements to lock in today’s pricing.  Doing so will relieve the financial burden of the family and offer peace of mind to everyone.

  • Can I transfer my plans to or from another funeral home?

If you have plans at another funeral home and would like to move them here, we will help you do that.  If you move from the area and would like to transfer your arrangements to another funeral home, we will assist you with that as well.
