Pre-Planning

The staff at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors is here to help with your funeral pre-planning needs. We’ll guide you through important decisions in advance, helping to ease the stress that often comes with losing a loved one.

Why should I plan ahead?

Not everyone likes to plan ahead, but pre-planning your funeral arrangements not only gives you peace of mind about your final wishes being honored, but it alleviates some of the stress and burden your loved ones are going through as they experience the grief associated with loss.

Planning Ahead Brings Comfort & Clarity

Losing a loved one is never easy, and it can be even more difficult when families are left unsure of what their loved one would have wanted. By planning ahead and clearly documenting your wishes, you offer your family peace of mind. Instead of facing uncertainty, they can move through the process with confidence, knowing they're honoring your decisions.

Planning Ahead Comes with Financial Flexibility

With a Boxwell Brothers trust-funded pre-need contract, you lock in today’s prices, protecting your investment from rising future costs. Your funds are held securely and locally, giving you added peace of mind, and we offer flexible monthly, quarterly, or annual payment options to fit your needs. In many cases, we can also honor pre-need arrangements from other funeral homes and accept life insurance assignments.

Common Questions about Pre-planning

  • What information do I need to pre-arrange a funeral?

You'll need basic information about yourself or the person you are planning for, such as date of birth, marital status, parent's full names, etc.  Besides the biological information, you'll need to choose burial or cremation, what type of service you'd like, what cemetery to use, etc.  Our caring staff will help you with this process.

  • Do I have to pay in advance?

Not always.  If you plan to use life insurance, another funeral home's pre-need contract, or burial insurance, contact our office for an appointment for review and options.  Oftentimes we can honor other funeral home pre-need policy.  Many families do choose to pre-fund their funeral arrangements to lock in today’s pricing.  Doing so will relieve the financial burden of the family and offer peace of mind to everyone.

  • Can I transfer my plans to or from another funeral home?

If you have plans at another funeral home and would like to move them here, we will help you do that.  If you move from the area and would like to transfer your arrangements to another funeral home, we will assist you with that as well.
