
Barbara Jean Black, 76, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2022, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Barbara was born August 19, 1945, in Brookhaven, MS.
She was a homemaker and dental hygienist. Barbara was creative and loved doing crafts and painting. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norene and Bill Powell; and her husband Edwin Black.
Survivors include her sons, Brian Black of Georgetown, TX, and Kevin Black and wife Sherry of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, Gary Powell and wife Cheryl of West Columbia, TX, and Ricky Powell and wife Vicky of Columbus, MS; a sister, Debbie McGraw and husband Joe of Pride, LA; and two grandchildren, Derek Williams and Sierra Caldwell.

Barbara was the most fun to be around. Her sense of humor always had me laughing and I will miss her. My sincere condolences to Brian, Kevin and families.
