David was born to Erby Yates and Cordie Cotton in Dallas, Texas on June 30, 1937, he worked at Pantex and then retired.
On August 27, 1955, he married Joy Charleen Brown in Booker, TX at her parents’ home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Charleen Yates.
