Don Ponciano Hernandez, 48, of Amarillo, TX passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Emmanuel Burgos officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Don was born in Amarillo, TX on November 19, 1972, to Sarah and Steven Hernandez.

Don worked as a supervisor at the Post Office. He enjoyed working out and grilling with family. He was a big Dallas Cowboys Fan. Don also liked cars, fashion, and loved to snow ski when he was younger.

He was preceded in death by two siblings, Yvette Bustillos, and Sara Renteria.

Survivors include his son, Evan Hernandez, of Amarillo, TX; siblings, Steve Hernandez and wife Paula, Jeanie Morales and husband Alex, Arthur Hernandez, Corrine Zambrano, and Christine Castillo; and brothers-in-law, Felix Bustillos, and Leonard Renteria.

  3. I have no words. The Hernandez Family is very special family to me. I am so sorry for the loss of their baby boy. Don was quiet with wit and humor. He will be missed so much. I know the happiness he is feeling at the feet of Jesus with his Mom, Dad, Yvette, and Sarah. Fly High little brother. See you on the other side.
