Launie Bartley, 84, of Amarillo, Texas died on January 2, 2022, after a long battle with lung cancer and COPD.
Private family services will be held.
Launie was born on October 4, 1937, to Earl and Lola Steagall in Burns, Oregon. After graduating from Seneca High School, she went to work at the Ford House in Canyon City, Oregon.
In 1957, she married J.P. Bartley and they had two boys, Keith and Kevin Bartley. They moved to Amarillo, Texas in September of 1963.
Launie worked many years for Harold Brisbin, DDS, Bob Gorree Auctioneers, Les Darsey and Jim White D. J. Enterprises until retirement.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother and she loved animals. After retiring, Launie loved spending her time at her little cabin in the mountains of New Mexico and at home working in her yard.
Launie is survived by her sons, Keith Bartley and wife Carol, and Kevin Bartley and wife Tracy; and grandchildren, Kayla Bartley Schroeder and husband Brock, Karson Bartley, and Kasey Bartley.
