Louis J Mora, 73, died on March 4, 2021, in Amarillo, Texas.
He was born on January 2, 1948 in Sacramento, California to Salvador and Magdalena Mora.
Louie went to Sacramento High School and was a journeyman glazer by trade. Louie worked on many of the high rises in the Sacramento area and loved to point them out when travelling through the city.
He married Beckie Avalos and they had three daughters and a son. He raised his family in Sacramento and was always very involved in all of the kids’ sports – soccer, softball, cheerleading, and baseball. He had a passion for the 49ers, movies, woodworking, fishing, and golf. He moved to Amarillo, Texas when he retired where he had lots of cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Louie was a devoted father and grandfather. His survivors include his children, Annmarie (Steve) Rodgers, Andrea (John) Vine, Sandra (Daniel) Monterrubio, and Armando Mora; his grandchildren, Armando, Madeleine, Roman, Gabrielle, Justin, Marissa, Joshua, and Rebecca; his great-granddaughter, Olivia; his former wife, Beckie Mora; and his sisters, Yolanda Ochoa, and Cristina Mora. We’ll miss you big Lou.
Services will be held in July in Sacramento.
