Jo Ann Watson, 69, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, August 16, 2021.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Private burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Jo Ann was born October 22, 1951, in Borger, TX to Herschel and Grace West. She graduated from Sanford-Fritch High School in 1970; earned her Bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M; and worked as a mental health counselor.
Jo Ann enjoyed sewing, crafting, and playing Bingo.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Garcia and fiancé Dennis Reed, of Amarillo, TX, and Kari Reams and husband Coby, of Houston, TX; grandchildren, MacKenzie Reams, Rhiannon Reams, Emily Garcia, Kylie Reed, Piper Reed, and Conner Reams; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Scarlett.
Family visitation will be from 6-7:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2021, at the funeral home.

Jo Ann will be greatly missed. She was a very loving, giving, funny, very intelligent, joy to be around.
Cannot believe you are gone but not far away Jo Ann, the Lord gives me comfort knowing I will see you again one day. We started out in elementary, brownies, girl scouts, church, friends and especially being sisters in Christ so bye for now old friend and will see you again. My deepest condolences to your daughters and family along with my prayers. Amen
Thinking of you all. Unimaginable grief you all must be feeling. Such a close and bonded family. Female strong. I’ll always miss her beautiful face and ,charming laugh. It was a lot of fun working beside her, and we have unforgettable memories. May peace be with you.
