Marlene Feduris, 64, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2021, at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Marlene was born July 13, 1957, in Amarillo, TX to L.G. and Margaret McKinney.  She graduated from Amarillo High School and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Texas Tech University.  For twenty-three years she was a reporter for Amarillo Globe-News.

She married Richard Feduris on August 1, 1989, in Red River, NM.

Marlene was a member of Toastmasters.  She enjoyed reading and puzzle books.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Feduris, of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Marla Stark, of Amarillo, TX; and brother, Mark McKinney and wife Beverly, of San Antonio, TX.

  3. I went to Amarillo College with Marlene. We were Kappa Delta Chi sorority sisters. As with all sibling sisters we all were very close. Marlene is an angel with the sweetest heart and loveliest smile. Tho the years have passed without seeing one another there is always the love we shared for one another. Marlene thank you for being an extraordinary in this life! Sending love and light to all who knew and loved Marlene. XOXO

  4. I worked at the Globe-News with Marlene. She was a contentious reporter and represented the G-N wonderfully in the community. She was fun to work with, a good colleague. My sympathies to her family.
