Sarah Mae Brooks was born on April 10, 1951, in Burlington, Colorado to James and Wanda Brooks. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2021, at the age of 70, in Amarillo, Texas.
She is survived by her four children: daughters Wanda Chandler, Candy Nicely, Rita White, son Pete Perry, 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, brothers Ike “Edward” and Rose Brooks, Mike “Edwin” and Donna Brooks, Donnie and Paulette Brooks, Ronnie, and Charlotte Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Owen and Wanda Lou Brooks, son Ronnie Chandler, brother James Brooks. She will be missed by many.
Visitation will begin on Friday, July 16, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Amarillo, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 12 p.m., at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Amarillo, Texas followed by interment at Kirkland Cemetery, County Rd 23 Childress, Texas 79201 with Pastor Courtnay Brooks Jr. officiating.
