Raul Colin, Teresita Colin, Angelica Colin, Raul Perez, and Andrea Aguirre

 

Raul Colin (88), Teresita Colin (85), Angelica Colin (46), and Raul Perez (35), all of Amarillo, TX passed away on December 22, 2021, and Andrea Aguirre (23), of Amarillo, TX passed away on December 23, 2021.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Services for Andrea will be at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass for the Colin, Perez, and Aguirre families will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 30, 2021, at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Raúl Colin Arcos was born on September 4, 1933, in El Estillero, Michoacán. He was one of eight children born to Hilario Colin and Marcelina Arcos. 

He was a Shepard his whole life. Always caring for his farm and animals. 

He was humble, educated, hardworking, generous, and a strong man. Always thinking about everyone else’s needs before his. He was always kind and happy. The perfect father and grandfather. Selfless and caring. The greatest example we could ever have. He put God first every day and never worried about what that day would bring. 

He was a loving and charismatic father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. With the greatest heart anyone could ever have. 

All he left us with are good memories. He loved children and was always happy in their company. He leaves behind a family who loves him dearly.

Teresita Chavez Reséndiz was born August 21, 1936, in Piedra Larga, Guanajuato. She was one of seven children to Luciano Chavez and Florentina Reséndiz. 

She was an elegant, strong-willed, strict, and very hard-working woman. She was a kind and honest person. From a very humble family. She was a woman of faith who loved her entire family. Always very adamant to do things right by God. A woman of integrity with high values and standards. 

She was a great mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

Some of her favorite hobbies were crochet, knitting, and gardening. She leaves behind a family who loves her dearly.

Raul and Teresita are survived by their children, Adelita Colin, Guadalupe Colin, Fernando Colin, Serafin Colin, Martha Colin, Veronica Colin, Gabriel Colin, and Roberto Colin; 32 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and their siblings, Juanita, Genoveva, Providencia, Jesus, and Juanita Colin. Juvenal, Jose, and Jesus Chavez.

Raul and Teresita were preceded in death by their parents; Marcelina and Hilario Colin, and Florentina and Luciano Chavez; their sons, Raulito and Juan Carlos; and siblings.

Angelica Colin

Angelica Colin was born in Acámbaro, Mexico on September 10, 1975, to Teresita and Raul Colin.

She married Enrique Aguirre on December 14, 1996. They recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. They had two beautiful children, Andrea and Adrian Aguirre. 

She was the best daughter, sister, mother, wife, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed baking pastries and making floral arrangements for church. She was an angel that always worked hard and brought us closer to God. Anytime anyone asked for help she never refused. She always gave the best advice. She was truly an angel on earth. Always helping her Blessed Sacrament church community. She was the light of our lives and will shine forever. 

She accomplished her mission of caring for her parents, Raul and Teresita. She is now rejoicing in Heaven with them, her nephew Raul, and her precious daughter, Andrea.

Angelica is survived by her husband, Enrique Aguirre; son, Adrian Aguirre; four sisters, Adela, Guadalupe, Veronica, and Martha; and four brothers, Fernando, Serafin, Gabriel, and Roberto.

Angelica was preceded in death by her brothers, Raulito and Juan Carlos Colin.

Raul Perez Colin alias “El Bule” was born in the state of Querétaro on November 24, 1986.

At the young age of 12, he emigrated to the United States to study, and then work for a better life; not only for himself but for his family as well. 

He excelled in sports; football, soccer, track, and lately he really enjoyed playing golf with his uncles and son.

All of us who had the privilege of knowing him knew that he was a very happy, optimistic, kind, noble, and humble person with a huge heart.

Characterized by his authenticity, he was always able to face the adversities of life with a smile on his face. Spending time with him allowed us to enjoy living in the moment. He was always able to spread his joy. Raul had such a unique laugh, that it was impossible not to laugh with him. Each occurrence or mischief was always with the intent of making you laugh. Many will agree that he was the soul of the party; always living in the present, without worrying about tomorrow. He was very loving towards everyone, especially his family. Raul’s adoration were his grandparents; with whom he is now rejoicing in heaven, alongside his aunt, cousin, and all his family that went ahead of him. 

You will forever live in our hearts.

Raul is survived by his mother, Adelita; his sisters, Esmeralda, Adelita, and Maricela; his son, Abdiel; and his daughter, Ashly Dayana.

Raul was preceded in death by his father, Jose Luis Perez.

Andrea “Andy” Aguirre

Andrea Aguirre, fondly known as “Andy”, was born in Amarillo, Texas on October 27, 1998, to Angelica and Enrique Aguirre. 

Andrea graduated as valedictorian of Caprock Highschool in 2017, proceeded to graduate with a 4.0 GPA receiving a B.S. in Biochemistry from Texas Tech University in 2021, and was working on her M.S. in Accounting from Texas A&M Commerce at the time of her passing. Andrea was a loving wife, sister, daughter, cousin, and friend who was incredibly caring, intelligent, and sweet. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet Andrea knew that she was extremely affectionate and always had bigger plans in mind for everyone around her. As an adventurer, Andrea spent four weeks backpacking with her husband across six countries and frequently took trips with her family and husband to explore new cities. Andrea always surrounded herself with people who loved and treasured her. She will be dearly missed and forever live on in the thoughts of those who were fortunate to know her. Blessed with an extraordinary life, Andrea is united with her mother, grandparents, cousin, and her beloved pet Mambo

Andrea is survived by her husband, Billy Blanton; father, Enrique Aguirre; brother, Adrian Aguirre; and grandparents, Enrique and Alma Aguirre.
