Friday, February 12, 2021, at 12:00 P.M. (Noon), Carol Ann Sims entered the gates of Heaven, surrounded by family as her spirit took flight, with praise on our lips and worship in our hearts.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Born Carol Ann Parker on August 29, 1950, in Eudora, Arkansas, she was the eldest of six children born to Irene and Jessie J. Parker, Jr.

Carol attended Amarillo High School, Amarillo College and the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She retired in November 2014, after nearly 40 years of employment at Pantex.

Carol was a generous and loving soul whose infectious smile, laughter and beautiful voice made a lasting impression on all who made her acquaintance. She accepted the Lord as her Savior at a young age. She was a long-time member of Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C. and served in many capacities including deaconess and financier, to name a few. She loved God above all, treasured her family (especially her grandchildren, who were one of her greatest joys), loved to travel and hoarded plants, shoes, handbags and family photos.

Awaiting the heavenly reunion were Carol’s infant daughter, infant granddaughter, and stepdaughter as well as both her parents. She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Clark G. Sims. as well as their children: twins Lindsey and Chauncey Irving of Amarillo, Whitney Colbert of San Antonio; Bridgett Sims of Lubbock, and Clark Sims, Jr. of Amarillo. Also cherishing Carol’s memory are her siblings Donald Parker and wife Delois of Fort Worth, TX; Beverly Parker of Amarillo; Ralph Parker and wife Margaret of South Bend, IN; Kevin Parker and wife Victoria of South Bend, IN; Jocelyn Turner and husband Frank of Amarillo; as well as a host of grandchildren, a newborn great-grandson, and scores of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. We will carry on the legacy – Love Lives On.

“The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” ~Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV
