Clyde Hobbs, 82, of Amarillo, TX passed away on January 19, 2022.

Clyde Hobbs was born October 14, 1939 and passed peacefully on January 19, 2022.

He was a beloved teacher and principal for over 35 years and left a true mark on the education of thousands of students.

He had been living with advanced Alzheimer’s Disease for the last six months and was deeply loved and cared for by our extended family at Good Life Assisted Living, here in Amarillo.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, of Amarillo; his daughter, Karen Hendricks and her partner Steven Menzik, of Amarillo; his son, Troy Hobbs and wife Cassie, of Midland and four grandchildren; Graeson Hendricks and her partner Derick Eggert, of Amarillo; Griffin Hendricks of Bremerton, WA; Aislinn Hobbs of Midland and Holden Hobbs, of Lubbock.

The family will have a private service on Friday, January 21, 2022.

Uncle Clyde I have childhood Memories how you baby-sited us when Christmas came or we would go riding to look at the Christmas lights Then when we got home Santa Clause had come and left many presents Thank God Through Grandpa Hobbs and other preacher and teacher We learn the truth of Christmas Jesus Christ came as a baby boy Our Saviour was born I love you and will see you again one day your niece LaVerne York
