Dwight Jackson, 77, of Amarillo, TX passed away on February 4, 2022.

Dwight was born in Tucumcari, NM February 1, 1945, to Joe and Jessie Jackson.  He was raised on the family farm north of San Jon.  Dwight successfully continued the family farming and ranching operation until 1990.  At that time, he went into the real estate business and moved to Tucumcari.  After a brief time in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he spent the balance of his years in Amarillo, TX.

Dwight loved his family, children, and grandchildren.  He instilled in us the need to have honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic.  For these we are truly thankful.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug Jackson.

Dwight is survived by son, Kenny Jackson & wife, Gayla of Amarillo, TX; son, Michael Jackson & wife, Jada of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Christi (Jackson) Mitchell & husband, Shawn of Forest, Mississippi; son, Bracken Jackson of Fairbanks, Alaska; grandson, Brendon Jackson & wife, Jessica of Canyon, TX; granddaughter, Alexa (Jackson) Gowdy & husband, Will of Amarillo, TX; grandson, Jarrett Jackson & wife, Brittany of Amarillo, TX; granddaughter, Kilee Jackson & fiancé, Damian Orczewski of Anchorage, Alaska; granddaughter, Ashley Jenkins of Anchorage, Alaska; granddaughter, Shelby Jenkins of Forest, Mississippi; granddaughter, Kaylyn (Mitchell) McGraw & husband, Justin of Palmer, Alaska; grandson, Carter Mitchell of Eagle River, Alaska; grandson, Kale Mitchell of Palmer, Alaska; great-grandson, Wyatt Jackson of Canyon, TX; great-granddaughter, Shadlee Jackson of Canyon, TX; great-granddaughter, Blakely Gowdy of Amarillo, TX; sister-in-law, Donna Kay Jackson of Albuquerque, NM; nephew, Matthew Jackson of Santa Fe, NM; niece, Kelly (Jackson) Brooks & husband, Jeff of Albuquerque, NM; great-niece, Grace Ann Brooks of Albuquerque, NM; and many cousins and their families.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 (MST), Thursday, February 24th, 2022, at San Jon Baptist Church, in San Jon, NM.
