Early Gaines Brown, Jr., 78, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on February 15, 2022. His family takes great comfort in the fact that he is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all of eternity.

 
Private family services will be held in the near future.
 
Gaines was born in Amarillo, Texas on May 14, 1943, to Early Gaines Brown and Maxine Pearl Traylor, where he lived a long and happy life.
 
Survivors include his long-time best friend and partner Lisa Flanagan; his two daughters and their spouses: Leslie Worley (Jim) and Darcy Collins (Jeff); and his five grandsons: Jesse Worley (Kristian), Benjamin Worley, Christian Collins (Emily), Beau Collins and Colby Collins; and three great-grandchildren Levi, River and Alora Worley. Gaines also had many special church family and friends.
 
Gaines had a great love for dogs all of his life, especially his beloved Coco. He was known to have adopted many stray and rescue dogs and also a few cats along the way. The family asks for donations to be made in his name to the Amarillo SPCA as this organization was close to his heart.   1. Gaines was a great friend. I will miss our phone chats and the great connection we had while working for Baker & Taylor. We enjoyed his MIchigan visit and our visit with him in Amarillo, where we met you Lisa. You and family are in our thoughts and prayers. We hope you will keep in touch
