Floy Mae Jenkins, 89, of Amarillo, TX formerly of Dalhart, TX was called home on July 5, 2020.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Willow Cemetery in Haskell, TX with Eddie Klose officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

She was born on July 28, 1930, to Lillie (Hester) and Floyd Hutchens near Rochester, TX. Floy Mae graduated from Rochester High School in 1947. She married Winford Jenkins on March 3, 1951. They were active in farming and ranching.

Floy Mae was known as “Grandma” to everyone. Her chocolate cakes were always requested on birthdays. She was an expert seamstress, gardener, and baker. Her humor and quick wit will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and son-in-law, Dale Reeves.

Floy Mae was a loving mother to five children, eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family includes Lillie and Lynn Cramer, of Pritchett, CO, Clyde, and Deretha Jenkins, of Amarillo, Nona, and Mark McNally, of Visalia, CA, David, and Charla Jenkins, of Amarillo, TX, and Marilyn Reeves, of Amarillo, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to BSA Hospice Care of the Southwest, 5211 SW 9th, Ste. 100, Amarillo, TX  79106.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M.- 6:30 P.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
