Geneva Myers, 98, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 11:00 A.M., at Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church, 7801 W 34th Amarillo, Texas 79121, with Pastor Jeremy Boothby officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX. 

Geneva was born on June 16, 1923, in Sayre, Oklahoma. She grew up mostly in Amarillo, TX, and moved to Dumas, TX when she married Henry Myers in 1945. She moved back to Amarillo in 2007 and lived there with her daughter, Myra, until her death on December 5, 2021. 

For most of her life, she was a homemaker and mother of two daughters, Myra Boothby and Debbie Morton. Geneva had a servant’s heart and was happiest when she was helping others. She was a wonderful cook, and no one ever left the table hungry. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Fair and Mary Mathis; her husband, Henry Myers; three brothers, Joe Fair Jr., Melvin Fair, and A.K. Fair; and two sisters, Juanita Blake and Othella Miller. 

Survivors include her daughters, Myra Boothby and Debbie Morton; four grandsons, Bret Higginbotham and wife Brandy, Jeremy Boothby and wife Maricruz, Wes Farris, and Jason Payne and wife Kirsti; a sister, Ila Kibler; one granddaughter, Shea Porter and fiancé Jason Martin; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

  1. Myra, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mom was a beautiful lady and I know equally beautiful on the inside. When we lose our mom’s, a piece of our hearts go also! Prayers for you and your family 🙏

  3. My aunt Sissy. She was the sweetest:kindest person I have ever known. She would do anything for her friends and family. Will always have a special place in my heart for Sissy.
