Juan Angel Carrizales died unexpectedly on December 28, 2021, at the age of 37.

A service will be held at 3:30 Friday, December 31, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Juan was born on June 26, 1984, in Monterrey, Mexico, the son of Juan and Maria Carrizales with a younger brother Eduardo Carrizales.

He graduated from Westwood College of Technology in Euless, TX with an Associate’s degree in graphic design and multimedia, after college he lived with his parents until 2008 when he purchased his first home, he was doing well for himself. In 2011 he started working in Pantex and worked there for 10 years.

In 2011 he met his wife, Janae, who was the love of his life and soul mate, and her two girls, Kiya and Zoie, he immediately fell in love with all three. They got married on July 18, 2015, and he adopted the girls in 2016. Shortly after that, his son Xavi was born, which was the happiest and proudest moment of his life. He knew that it was time for a bigger house. It was a wonderfully exciting time for everyone around them.

He coached the soccer teams for all their children, he started with Kiya’s and Zoie’s and even coach Xavi’s team this last spring. He loved the game and loved teaching it to his kids.

Juan Angel spent most of his free time with his family, going to Kiya’s choir concerts, Zoie’s gymnastics competitions, hunting with Xavi or with whoever wanted to go with him, he played guitar, with his wife Janae signing, and having a concert at home just for themselves, he loved going to the lake, taking family hikes on the canyons, or just beating his kids at Mario Kart. Those were such great experiences and fun times for him.

Juan Angel was kind and caring, he would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone in need, which is one of the many reasons his wife fell in love with him, another reason was his goofy sense of humor. He had a joke for just about every situation and could always make others smile.

If he picked on you, you knew he loved you.

He was a good husband, a good son, a good brother, and a friend, he was a hard worker, an avid hunter, an excellent guitar player, and cook, but most of all, he was a proud Daddy.

Juan Angel was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife Janae Carrizales and their three children Kiya, Zoie, and Xavi, his father and mother, Juan and Maria Carrizales, his brother Eduardo all of Amarillo, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws who love and miss him so much.

    Lety
