Laura Sue Park, 66, of Amarillo, TX passed away on October 31, 2021.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 4, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Greg Corona officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Laura Sue Park was the first child born to Billy Gordon and Patsy Jewel and came into this world on July 17, 1955. Laura was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 31, 2021. The apple of her Daddy’s eye, Laura was always Daddy’s baby girl. All of us get to celebrate together Laura’s ultimate final and complete healing and reunion with momma and daddy.
Laura was preceded in death by both parents – Bill and Pat.
Laura is survived by her brother, David and wife Pam Park; sisters, Sarah Pearse and partner Vicki Pearse, and Amy and husband Brian Kennedy.
Laura leaves behind a long list of loved nieces and nephews – Nikki Bausman, Blake and wife Lydia Park, Joee Bausman and husband Eric Davis, Emily and husband Titus Custer, Audra and husband Reagan Lucia, Lauren Bausman and Samantha Kennedy and Zach Kennedy and two great-nieces Hannah and Sophia.
Laura’s nieces and nephews all knew Laura as a loving aunt always having a kind and loving word for each of them; never forgetting a birthday, celebration or special time in each of their own lives.
A native of Amarillo, Laura attended Lawndale and Paramount Elementary, Bonham Junior High, and graduated as a proud Tascosa Rebel class of 1974. Laura also attended and graduated from Amarillo College. Laura lived and worked in Albuquerque, NM; Newton, KS; Schaumburg, IL and finally came back to and settled in Ft. Worth, TX – working the entire time for the Santa Fe and BNSF railroads until her retirement.
Laura was a gifted musician as a child and gave all her brother and sisters a great example to follow in her footsteps – while none were really ever as accomplished as Laura.
Laura leaves her memories behind with dear friends, neighbors, and family. Memories such as love for her many pets over the years, contagious laughs, wildly colored hair, fancy nails always to be accompanied with kind words and sincere thoughts of love being shared.
Laura leaves behind a family and many friends that together all ask you to help Laura celebrate today her ultimate homecoming with her Lord.
