Lois Margaret (Fullerton) Coffman, 84, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on January 27, 2022.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Paramount Baptist Church, with Lance Herrington officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Lois was born on July 1, 1937, and grew up in La Junta, Colorado. She enjoyed camping in the Colorado mountains with her family and looked forward to church camp near Palmer Lake, Colorado. Lois was active in church, school, and scouting. She was a delegate to Columbine Girls’ State in Denver. Lois graduated from La Junta High, attended Otero Junior College, and was employed by the La Junta newspaper.

One December 1, 1956, she married Don T. Coffman in La Junta. Don was employed by Shamrock Oil and Gas and was transferred to Amarillo, Texas, his hometown. Lois was employed as a secretary by Commercial Insurance and Sun Oil Co. Don and Lois moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, then Bountiful, Utah, and returned to Amarillo in 1964.

Don and Lois were members of Paramount Baptist Church, where Lois volunteered many years in the preschool department. She was also a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. Before retiring in 1999, she was employed by Amarillo Independent School District.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Ruth Fullerton; a brother, Donald Fullerton; and her husband, Don Coffman, in July of 2002.

Lois was blessed with a wonderful family whom she loved dearly. Survivors include her son, Jay Coffman and Ramona, of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Joan Huey and her husband Terry, of Colleyville, TX; daughter, Lori Boykin and her husband Todd, of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren, Jason Coffman and his wife Kim, of Webster, TX, Kristen Heye and her husband Dylan, of Portsmouth, VA, Chris Coffman and his wife Abbey, of Amarillo, TX, Mattison Huey, of Waco, TX, Sydnie Huey, of Norman, OK, Katherine Boykin, of Amarillo, TX, and Jack Boykin, of Amarillo, TX; great-grandson, Aiden Coffman, of Webster, TX; niece, Sharon Batte and her husband Jim, of Huntsville, AL; nephew, Gary Fullerton and his wife Cindy, of Huntsville, AL; grandniece, Samantha Fullerton, of Huntsville, AL; and a double cousin, Eleanor Phillips, of Ft. Collins, CO.
