Maurice Anne Ruzicka, 69, of Amarillo, died Saturday, October 10, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 15, 2020, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Maurice was born on February 21, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Clara and Donald Lucy.  She was a homemaker.

She married Loren Ruzicka on May 1, 2002, in Amarillo, Texas.

Preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren, Ashlee and Zakkary.

She is survived by her husband, Loren, of the home; three daughters, Dawn Padilla and husband Michael of Amarillo; Randi Morris and husband Todd of Longview, Washington; and Tisha McKinney and husband Dusty of San Antonio; a son, Robert Reitz and wife Jeri of Plymouth, Minnesota; a brother, James Cunningham and wife Nancy of Port Huron, Michigan; a sister, Carol Stowers and husband Hugh of Dawsonville, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

  1. My heart filled condolences to the family. Carol, I can see why you loved this woman so much. She obviously was full of love for her family, for you, for her community, her friends. I feel she was the kind of person I would love to have in my life. I am sure no one was a stranger to her. Prayers of comfort and healing for you and your family and all of Maurice’s friends. May her legacy be honored.

  4. I have many fond childhood memories of time spent with cousin Reese at our grandmother’s house in McLoud. Fortunately, we had some time to visit and catch a few years ago in Okla. I wish that I could be there but know that you are in my thoughts as we say farewell to her for now.
