Nina J Morganti, 94, of Amarillo, TX passed away on October 15, 2021.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Nina Morganti was born in Albion, NY on March 18, 1927, to Giovanna and Joseph Giarrizzo. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and volunteer.

Nina lived a full life, focused on family and friends.  After the sudden death of her husband in 1986, she reoriented her life to help others and volunteered at the Department of Human Services in the Aged and Disabled division.  She was a devout Catholic and had many friends through her church affiliation.  Most of all she was a mother at heart, continuing to tell her seventy-year-old sons to “put on a coat” when she thought it was cold outside.  She will be greatly missed by her large extended family and friends.

She is immediately survived by her sons, Don and Joe, and her granddaughter, Emily.

  2. My fondest memory of Aunt Nina is when we were camping at Lazy Lakes with my parents and I made a strawberry smoothie, as I called it. Aunt Nina really liked it and it didn’t matter if I put vodka or rum in it. She would ask me if she could possibly have another. Fun times.
