A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Arden Road Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron Denson officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Ross was born on September 23, 1943, in Hollis, Oklahoma to Ross ‘Pete’ Keesee and Ollie Keesee.  When Ross was a toddler, his family moved to Borger for a very short time and subsequently, Amarillo, Texas in 1945.   Ross graduated from Amarillo High School at 17 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy which required his mom to sign for him.  He served proudly on the USS Coral Sea until July 1966 beside many sailors who became lifelong friends.  After discharge, he eventually returned to Amarillo where he started and ran his own business for many years.  His first marriage gave him five beautiful children, four still living.  In 1991, he married Cindy and gained a stepson.  He spoke often and proudly to family, friends, and complete strangers of his children and grandchildren.  He had the most wonderful and supportive sisters who also took care of him and were there for every phone call.

Ross loved golf and especially playing with his two sons as well as his multiple visits to the golf shop every day for the past 40 years.

Most importantly, Ross accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1992 with Bro. Jerry Clark.  Ross was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church for the past 27 years.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Ross ‘Pete’ and Ollie; his infant sister Norma Sue; an infant son Brian Adam; and brother in law Robert Kelly.

Ross is survived by his wife, Cindy of the home; his two daughters, Amy Stephens (Charles) of Austin, Texas, Christy Keesee (Curtis) of San Diego, California; his two sons, Cody Wayne (Amanda) of San Diego, California, Brandon of Amarillo, Texas; his stepson Marcus Langford (Alicia) of San Antonio, Texas; Eight grandchildren, Caleb, Ellen, Lily, Joey, Jackson, Landry, River, and Trigg; his sisters, Shirley Kelly of Clarendon, Texas and Gwendlynn Rawlins of Perryton, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews.

  4. We did not know Ross well, however we do know his son Cody who is our daughter’s husband.
Cody is an accomplished and loving husband who reflects well on his upbringing and love from his parents, both Ross and Genny.
We are proud to have Cody as a son-in-law and we appreciate all the love and caring he brings to Amanda, their life together, and to all those around them – we have come to love and respect him immensely.
Cody is a fine example of the wonderful man Ross must have been to create such a loving son.
    Rest in peace Ross
