William “Bill” Medley, 85, of Amarillo, TX passed away on July 4, 2021.

Bill was born a triplet in Gotebo, OK on August 5, 1935, to Nancy and George Medley. Bill married the love of his life, Carlsie Bagley, on August 31, 1956, in Clovis, NM. They were avid square dancers. They enjoyed their camping bunch, playing games of all kinds, and were known for their woodwork creations. Bill would make it and Carlsie would paint it. But above all Bill had a heart and passion to help others, volunteering at several local nursing homes throughout the years. Bill had a fierce love for the Lord and never missed an opportunity to spread the Word. His grandchildren knowing that “PawPaw” would make sure and include everyone and everything during the family dinner prayer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nancy Medley; his big brother, Jack Medley; his sister, Jeanne Hendricks; and one of his triplet sisters, Winnie Nutt.

He is survived by his wife, Carlsie Medley; his children, David (Monica) Medley, Debbie (Bobby) Chance, and Tim (Victoria) Medley; his six grandchildren, Tekisha (Casey) Cherne, Tabitha (Jason) Nettles, Kaci (Matt) Maloney, Colt (Melanie) Medley, Dakota (Nicole) Medley, and Titus Medley; his seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Sue Christian; and his last remaining triplet, Minnie Fleming.

Private family services have been held, and his interment of ashes will be held at a later date at the Medley’s Rafter 9 family cemetery.

  4. Bill and Carlisle were on my Meals on Wheels route. I came to love them. Bill was the one to come to the door, and we always spent a few minutes chatting. Recently when Bill went into hospice care, Carlisle would let me go in to see him. We would hold hands and visit. He was so handsome and wonderful. I am going to miss him. I am sad. Love to Carlisle and the family.
