William Robert Bundy, 76 of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2021.

Mass will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 27, 2021, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 4500 W. Hills Trail. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Robert was born on February 3, 1945, in Queens County, New York to William and Ruthalice Bundy. The family relocated to Amarillo, Texas in 1946. Robert joined the Navy (1962-1966) following graduation and served aboard the ship USS John W Weeks DD-701 during the Vietnam era. After his discharge from the Navy, Robert met and married the love of his life, Pauline on November 26, 1966; they were married 54 wonderful years and during that time raised two kids.

Robert enjoyed fishing and coaching his kids and grandkids in sports. He cherished being a papaw and enjoyed spending time with his friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and two brothers.

Robert is survived by his wife, Pauline; daughter, Kim Pinter, her four children, Alyson Morgan, Tiffani Morgan, Tristan Pinter, Christopher and his wife Heather Pinter, and their two girls Mackinzli and Sarina; son, Kevin and wife Lori Bundy, his two children, Brooklyn and Bentleigh, and their mother Crystal Bundy; sister, JoAnne Reed and her family; and brother, Tim and Penny Bundy. He has many nieces and nephews and a very special friend whom he considered to be a daughter, Sherry Fraley and her kids. Robert was a fierce friend, and will always be Mr. B.

Robert will forever be a Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, Papaw, and Great Papaw.

  1. Mr B was a good man and friend. Alway treated me with respect…and I respected him. Pauline,Kim and all family, I am sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

  2. I will love you forever and always!! God blessed me with you as my father in law and an amazing PaPaw to all your grandchildren you always put your family first no matter what!! You were truly one of a kind, we miss you so much!! Love you Robert Bundy!!
