Betty Marie Cutting, 91 years old of Amarillo, Texas went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 8, 2021.

Viewing will be from 2-8 PM, Wednesday, November 10, 2021, and from 8 AM – Noon, Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Betty was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 7, 1930, to Bernard and Florence Wise.

Betty was a loyal employee for several companies during her career as a Bookkeeper/Accountant.  She retired at the age of 70 after many years of employment at Amarillo Testing.

Betty married Richard (Rick) Cutting on June 15, 1963 in Montana. Betty and Rick were married for 41 years until his death in 2005.  She was a devoted and loving wife.

Betty and Rick were members of Starlighter and Tophatters Dance Clubs.  They loved dancing to their favorite song “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole.  Betty was a dedicated member of ABWA, Red Hat Society and a Lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi.  She loved being active and living her life with countless dear friends and serving the community.  Betty was a faithful member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend Rick, her parents Bernard and Florence Wise and two sisters Marge Rees and Faye Lillard.

Betty is survived by her three nephews, Timothy Lillard and wife Deborah and their child Ann of O’Fallon, Illinois, Jack Rees and David Rees of New Mexico; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Tuttle of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Vicki Radmann and husband Herby of Menomonie, Wisconsin; a stepson, Marcus Cutting of St. Paul, Minnesota;  step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends that were her extended family and loved her deeply.

A heart filled thank you to her caregivers at Abundantly Blessed and her nurses and staff at High Plains Senior Care Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, please sent memorial donations to St. Thomas Catholic Church, Amarillo, Texas or the American Heart Association.

  2. Betty, I dearly loved her! I had the pleasure of doing her hair for many years. She was a kind and loving person. She will be greatly missed. Heaven gained a precious lady.❤️
