Charles (Charley) Smith, 81, of Amarillo, TX passed away peacefully on March 30, 2021.

Charley worked for BNSF Railroad for 42 years before spending his retirement in service to the many gun clubs in town. Charley will be remembered for his quiet nature and the generosity he showed for his friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Holly Holder and Aaron Smith; his grandchildren, Scotney Blackburn and Devon Burden; his great-grandchildren, Archer Blackburn, Oliver Blackburn, and Calla Burden; his sister, Martha Hall; and his many beloved extended family members.

Charley will be remembered in a private family service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a friend to lunch.

  1. He and BJ were the first neighbors we met here over 22 years ago. We were friends all those years. Our street doesn’t feel as much like home without her and now him . I have missed her waves and smiles as life takes us back and forth in front of their home. Now I already miss his too.
    Prayers for your hurting hearts.
