David “Snuffy” Bowerman, 80, of Amarillo, TX died Saturday, July 11, 2020.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Irwin Baptist Church with Barney Railsback officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

David was born on August 1, 1939 in Amarillo, to Doyle and Opal Bowerman. He was dedicated to his career in manufacturing at Crouse-Hinds for over 20 years. He married Pamela Frances Snyder on August 30, 2008 in Amarillo. They held a membership at Irwin Baptist Church. He was a past member of the Lions Club and V.F.W. David loved people, and never met a stranger. He was always ready to go fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ann Bowerman, and sister, Joyce Butler.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Bowerman; sons, Bruce Bowerman and wife Donna of Canyon, TX, and Tim Bowerman of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Richard Bowerman and wife Rowena of Twin Falls, ID, and Tom Bowerman and wife Debbie of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Dustin Bowerman, Sydney Bowerman-Creek, Stormy Bowerman, James Moore, and Makenzie Moore; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, July 14, 2020.

  2. I had the pleasure of knowing Snuffy through family and then I also worked with him a few years, he is such a great person and always loved talking to him , I am so glad he is with his Lord!

    I went to church with David when we both went to Pavillard. He will be missed.

  5. Pam and family, David will be missed by those of us that he befriended. He had a special smile for all. He enjoyed country western dancing and other types of dancing. He and his sweet wife became very special friends to me. He loved fur-babies and had a special way of talking to these sweet babies, I’m sure that Major will be glad to see him as he waits at the gate for them to go fishing together. David will be missed bur I know that he is fishing in that big pond up in Heaven.
    He was a great gentleman that always had a comment to make or a joke to share with those that were close by. Brenda Stewart and Sugar Britches.

  7. My prayers are with you Bruce & Tim. Your Dad was a fun Cousin to be around. Enjoyed so many family reunions with him and the family. Always full of laughter and a big smile. Rest In Peace David.
